The surfer's paradise, Costa Rica has been a while now the maximum destination for surfing. The break point, breaking on the beach and every right and the left found here makes this small Central American country is now the leading point for surfing in the world.  
With its Costa Rica beaches usually very clean, pristine and rarely crowded, Costa Rica has definitely become a favorite of surfers nest, especially for those who want to try one of the most challenging waves on the planet.
Costa Rica has a fantastic coastal climate, the temperatures of hot water all year around, the Atlantic and the Pacific and at least 50 breakpoints famous surf along the entire beach.  


Legendary and spectacular, the waves here are great and numerous coral breaks down all costs, so people are there to run and rapid transit.  
Although some of the beaches are inaccessible due to poor road conditions, is worth seeing because the waves are very good throughout the year. Some breaks like Pavones have longer trips in the world and certainly justified by the difficulties of travel.

Beaches of Costa Rica are less crowded than places like Sydney, Hawaii and Southern California also offer cheap accommodation, hotels, clubs, local health centers, shops hire surfing equipment and all its attractions. 


 If you are surfing on the Caribbean coast Rica / Costa Atlantic keep in mind that the season for surfing is not very long and that most waves are generated by tropical storms off the coast Mexicana. In the Pacific coast the waves are smaller but more consistent and usually generated by low pressure in New Zealand.

 The biggest waves of the east coast of Costa Rica is in the months of April to October, but it is from December to April as surfing is clearer.
The five-star destinations for surfing are Playa Hermosa, Playa Grande, Pavones, Rock and Salsa Brava Charmed, but there are other popular places for surfing in Costa Rica like Dominical, Santa Teresa / Mal Pais, Playa Negra, Playa Avellana and Playa Junquillal. Surfing in Playa Naranjo is also very good with many scenarios, since the film was shot Endless Summer II.
